A PRESENT HELP

We are busy people;Very busy.. The tasks to be accomplished on a daily basis are many and demanding. The pressures of everyday life make it even busier. Our To-do lists are almost full and have a P.T.O at the end of the page. It is little wonder that everyone, especially in the city, seems to be in a hurry, heading somewhere or sometimes nowhere. Life is fast they say.

Genesis 3:19

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."

You see man's punishment was to toil. And toil he does. With all his might and strength. Just to get his daily bread to fend for his family. That is great and congratulations to the hardworking men and women out there who do all that is in their hands to make ends meet. To give their families a better life. It is a noble thing you do.

Hardworking as we are, statistics show that the rates of suicide keep soaring by the day. This is as a result of the frustration that life can throw our path each day. The curve balls that come our way.
You see we can easily get too busy soaked in our frustrations and worries that we forget there is help nearby. It is possible to go about everyday feeling tired, weary and worn out with no hope..

Today, I write to remind us that there is nearby help, a present  help in time of need. A strong tower you can run to and be safe.. We may pose as omnicompetent  but the truth is that our help as human beings is limited.There is only so much we can do to help but there is God and He hears when we pray. His help is limitless.

Even for one with 10001 things to accomplish, prayer time is not wasted time. It is invested time.As you go about your daily activities, remember that you can always call on Him for help.It could be  at home, at school, at your workplace or anywhere. I do not want to pretend that I can fully understand your situation or frustration; because I may not. However, I know where you can get help. I know where lines are open just waiting for your call.

 

I also do not want to lie that when you pray all your worries fears and frustrations will crystallize and vanish  into nothingness and you will be happy ever after. Instead, I promise you what He promised when you pray.He said in Philippians 4:6-7

6Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God

 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.…

We may help to the extent we can but you can call unto Him,wherever, whenever.however because He hears, He answers, He will help you.
